Our Team
Matthew J. Holmes - Owner/Advisor
Matt started his career with Holmes Insurance Agency in 2001. He has worked alongside his father and current partner, Mark Holmes. A lifelong resident of Edwardsville, Matt has spent his career making connections all over Madison Country to ensure the best options for his customers.
Matt graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a B.A. in Marketing and a minor in Small Business & Entrepreneurship. He obtained his insurance licenses while still in college.
Matt lives in Glen Carbon with his wife Chelle and their two children, Mason and Avery. When out of the office Matt can usually be found coaching soccer and baseball, running kids around, or working on his handicap at the golf course. As a husband, father, home owner, and business owner, Matt definitely knows the importance of protecting what is important.
Sam Fink - Owner/Advisor
Katie Griffin / Office Manager
Katie has been part of the Holmes & Fink Insurance Advisors family since 2017, bringing years of administrative expertise and a genuine heart for helping people. Before joining the insurance world, she spent 17 years as an administrative assistant in the Edwardsville School District, where she honed her organization skills and her love for connecting with others.
Always up for a new challenge, Katie was drawn to insurance as a way to serve people in a different way. Helping them feel comfortable, confident, and cared for when it comes to their coverage. Her advice to clients is simple but sincere: “Don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here for you!”
Born and raised in Wood River, Katie’s roots run deep, her mom still lives in the same house she grew up in, and she’s only moved twice in her life! She now lives in Rosewood Heights with her husband, Tim, and their daughter, Brielle. When she’s not in the office, you can find her spending time with her family, at Pride Fitness with her daughter, or enjoying dinner at Oaxaca Mexican Restaurant.
Chelle Holmes - Accounting
Chelle joined Holmes Insurance in 2017. Chelle was a teacher in the Edwardsville School District from 2003-2017. She has her Bachelor’s in Education from Eastern Illinois and her MS in Education from SIUE.
She lives in Glen Carbon with her husband Matt, their two children, Mason and Avery, and their dog Luna. When not at the office, Chelle enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Brianna O'Dell - Account Manager
With over 15 years of experience in the insurance world (on and off, but fully on for the last eight), Brianna brings both expertise and heart to her role as Account Manager. Her journey started when someone took a chance on her, and she’s been paying that forward ever since, helping clients understand their coverage and how it truly protects them.
Her favorite part of the job is that “aha” moment when clients finally see how their policies work for them. Brianna’s go-to advice? “It’s better to pay a little more for higher coverage now than to pay more out of pocket later.” She believes insurance is about peace of mind, not paperwork.
Originally from Colorado Springs, Brianna traded the mountains for Glen Carbon, where she now lives with her husband, two daughters, and their lively crew of pets. When she’s not working, she loves early mornings with coffee and a good book, long bike rides, and relaxing family time.
She’s a coffee enthusiast (“with a little coffee in her creamer”), a fan of both fall and spring, and would take a mountain getaway over a beach any day. Her bucket-list destination? The Grand Canyon.

Sue Wilder - Account Manager
Sue brings warmth, humor, and a whole lot of know-how to the Holmes & Fink Insurance Advisors team. With six years in the insurance world, she’s become a trusted guide for clients who appreciate her knack for breaking down the ins and outs of coverage in a way that actually makes sense. Her favorite part of the job? Building relationships and earning the trust of clients who know they can count on her when they call. Her best advice: “Always call the office before filing a claim!”
Born in St. Louis, raised around Maryville, and currently resides in Troy, Sue has always had an adventurous streak, like the time she moved to Colorado on a whim with $1,000 and no car. It turned out to be one of the best decisions she ever made: she met her husband there and spent 12 wonderful years in the mountains before returning to the Midwest to raise their family.
When she’s not helping clients, you’ll probably find Sue cheering from the sidelines at a soccer game, camping with her family, or enjoying time at home, her favorite hangout spot of all. She’s a coffee-loving night owl (though that’s slowly changing!), a summer enthusiast, and dreams of one day traveling to Poland to meet her dad’s relatives.
To Sue, “Through every storm, together” means facing challenges head-on, knowing that with the right support team, you can make it through anything. Her coworkers describe her as “crunchy” and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Matt Eckhardt - Advisor
Matt may be the newest face on the Holmes & Fink Insurance Advisors team, but he’s already bringing a fresh perspective and a heart for helping others. A lifelong believer that work should have purpose, Matt was drawn to insurance as a way to guide people through some of life’s biggest decisions. “Nobody necessarily sees insurance as a way to change the world,” he says, “but because we all need it, it’s a way I can help people protect what’s most important to them.”
Matt is passionate about walking alongside people through every season good or bad. His favorite part of the job is helping clients understand their coverage so they can make confident, informed choices. His best advice? “Find an agent who cares about you as a person, not as a policy number.”
Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, Matt now calls Edwardsville home. When he’s not in the office, you’ll find him spending time with his family, cheering on his kids at their sporting events, or grabbing a bite at Cleveland-Heath. He’s a night owl, coffee in hand, dreaming of mountain getaways, or maybe a trip to Greece or Italy one day.

Hannah Fink - Marketing Director
As Marketing Director at Holmes & Fink Insurance Advisors, Hannah brings a creative spark and a decade of marketing experience to the team. With a background in building brands and community connections, she loves finding new ways to tell the Holmes & Fink story — highlighting not just the services they offer, but the people and purpose behind them.
While this is her first role directly within the insurance world, it’s hardly unfamiliar territory. Having supported her husband, Sam, throughout his career in insurance, joining the agency as it continues to grow felt like the most natural next step. Hannah thrives on bringing ideas to life and showing off the “fun side” of what they do — connecting clients to a team that truly cares.
A proud Edwardsville native, Hannah left home to play Division I college sports at Kent State before returning to start her family where her roots run deep. She and Sam live in Edwardsville with their three kids — Evelynn, Eleanor, and Winston — who keep life full of joy, chaos, and adventure. Her perfect day off includes slow mornings at a local coffee shop like Artisan or Café Birdie, exploring small businesses, or taking the kids to Rinkel Pumpkin Farm or the park.
Hannah is a morning person through and through, coffee in hand, always ready for fall weather and dreaming of a trip to Europe someday.
